Special Local Train for Durga Puja 2023

In preparation for the festive fervor of Durga Puja, the Eastern Railways' Sealdah division has unveiled a special plan to enhance the travel experience. As the city of Kolkata welcomes a multitude of visitors from far and wide, the railway authorities have rolled out an initiative to make the journey more convenient. During the auspicious nights of Panchami, Shashthi, Saptami, Ashtami, Nabami, and Dashami, they will introduce 18 additional trains. These trains will serve as a lifeline for those who wish to partake in the grand celebrations, ensuring that they can travel seamlessly to their destinations. In this article, we will delve into the details of this commendable effort by the Eastern Railways, making Durga Puja celebrations more accessible for all.

Time Table:

1. One pair of Sealdah-Ranaghat local train will depart from Sealdah at 12:40 AM and from Ranaghat at 11:45 AM.

2. Two pairs of Sealdah-Kalyani local trains will depart from Sealdah at 02:30 AM and 01:30 AM and from Kalyani at 12:10 PM and 03:00 AM.

3. One pair of Sealdah-Bangaon local train will depart from Sealdah at 01:20 AM and from Bangaon at 11:55 PM.

4. One pair of Sealdah-Dankuni local train will depart from Sealdah at 11:30 PM and from Dankuni at 12:25 AM.

5. Three pairs of Sealdah-Baruipur local trains will operate, departing from Sealdah at 03:20 PM, 12:20 AM, and 02:20 AM, and from Baruipur at 04:38 AM, 01:25 AM, and 03:20 AM.

6. Sealdah-Budge Budge Local departs from Sealdah at 11:30 PM , arrives at Budge Budge at 12:18 AM. Budge budge Sealdah Local departs from Budge Budge at 12:30 AM, arrives at Sealdah at 1:30 AM.

Additionally, on October 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2023, all local trains will run at all stations from 02:00 PM. However, 13 EMU local trains on these dates will be canceled. This is to accommodate the travel needs of passengers during the festive season..
