In various times of the year, tourists visit Darjeeling from different places.  However, sometimes it's challenging to find suitable accommodations due to the high number of tourists.

On the other hand, when the best weather for exploring Darjeeling begins, all these hotels and homestays face high demand. The situation can get to a point where many tourists are willing to pay exorbitant prices for accommodation. At times, even with higher prices, finding a place to stay can be difficult. Furthermore, this situation is sometimes exploited by unscrupulous individuals who take advantage of unsuspecting tourists and exploit their money.

But now, all these worries have been alleviated thanks to an innovative initiative by the Darjeeling Police.

In preparation for the upcoming Durga Puja festival, a list of 1,293 hotels, lodges, and homestays in Darjeeling and its surrounding areas has been published by the Darjeeling Police. This list not only provides the names of these accommodations but also includes their contact phone numbers and email IDs to facilitate easy booking for tourists.
